After a summer break with family, Christine’s performances are back in full swing.
She will be performing at Festival Le guitaristique in Sherbrooke, Thursday, September 28th, alongside guitarist Francis Tétu. They will conduct a gypsy guitar workshop for students at Cégep de Sherbrooke in the morning, participate in a Guitares Godin clinic, and then present their show at Café Baobab at 7:00 PM.
On October 6th, she will be playing at the Arquemuse School in Quebec as part of the Django à Gogo Festival organized by her longtime friend, guitarist Stéphane Wrembel, accompanied by violinist Aurore Voilqué and guitarist Simba Baumgadner, Django’s great-grandson!
Back in Montreal, she will showcase the brand-new performance of her gypsy jazz group, Christine Tassan and Les Imposteures, at the Maison de la culture Ahuntsic on October 19th. Come get a sneak peek of “Sur la route,” with the album set to release in February 2024!
She’s restarting her Jazz Thursdays at Brassée, a charming café-restaurant located across from Molson Park in Montreal. Every 15 days, Christine will host different musicians, in duo or trio formats. Catch her there on October 12th and 26th at 7:00 PM. Don’t miss out on this rendezvous!
Finally, she will be hosting the jazz jam on October 5th at Verre-Bouteille with singer Mélodie Vanier. Bring your instruments!
