In February 2025, Christine finds herself in the studio to record a new album with the flutist Marie-Véronique Bourque!
The two musicians met in 2018 through a mutual friend, Michel Lalonde (singer of Garolou). After sharing the stage several times, they decided to join forces in 2023 for a new project inspired by the natural sounds of Quebec and Saskatchewan, where Christine and Marie-Véronique live, respectively. he first days of creation were done remotely, each in her own studio. They challenged themselves to create five pieces in five hours per session! In January 2024, they reunited in person at Domaine Forget for a two-week residency, where they refined their compositions with David Meunier-Roy on double bass and Olivier Bussières on drums and percussion.
In February 2025, the quartet recorded the album Bruissement boréal at Studios Opus, with engineer Steeve St-Pierre, who also handled the mixing and mastering. The album will be released on May 9 and officially launched at Le Ministère on May 16.
