It is with great pleasure that Christine Tassan announces her role as “spokesperson” for the new Montreal Django Festival, organized by the Django Club Quebec. For about twenty years now, the gypsy jazz style has been developping in Montreal and in Quebec in general. Christine has been part of this scene since the very beginning and has actively participated to promote the gypsy jazz style, that she loves, in Quebec, Canada and throughout North America. It’s about time that a festival dedicated to the music of Django Reinhardt was organized in Montreal! 
A group of very talented musicians decided this year to take up the challenge. Congratulations to Club Django Québec ! The festival will take place at O Patro Vys October 7 and 8 with two shows bringing together the finest of Montreal’s gypsy jazz musicians and in addition: master classes, jam sessions and get togethers.
